Very nice gun safe. Easy to set up and operate. The fingerprint reader and keypad work very well. The safe is solid and sturdy. I bought it specifically to keep my 1911 in.

This is a mid-sized safe with a pretty good list of features, although it does have some limitations. It is a little on the small side compared to some similar safes, good for one large or two small pistols.The good stuff:It seems well-made, sturdy, and nicely finished. It has three methods of operation...Key, fingerprint pad, and combination. There's an exterior power socket so the combination or fingerprint mode can be used if the batteries die. The little display panel includes temperature, humidity, and battery status. It is mostly padded inside, and has an interior light. It uses common AAA batteries, and they're easy to replace.The not as good:As noted, it's smaller than some (You might consider this a plus, if your space for it is limited.) The interior isn't padded on the forward side...easy enough to do, if you want it. The combination pad only goes up to 6, which could be limiting if you have a preferred combination that uses higher numbers. I bypassed this limitation on another small safe I have by substituting "3-3" for "6", and "4-5" for "9"...you get the idea.Just remember, this is not a substitute for a heavy gun safe. It can keep a firearm handy, but out of reach of children or casual tamperers, but won't keep a determined burglar from just prying the whole thing loose and carting it away.

This is a perfect safe for keeping your items secure while on the go. It comes with a locking cable as well which is nice. The bio-metric reader makes access very quick. It seems to be very sturdy and well made.

The safe is a solidly built with good powder, coating and decently thick metal. The buttons are easy to press and use. The instructions are clear and easy to understand. The battery compartment inside is easy to load and holds enough batteries to last quite a while. I like that it has an external port in case the batteries do die and you can’t find the keys right away. It’s fully lined with foam to help prevent scratches and offers hold down holes to securely mounted to an object so that it will not wander off. the keys are more difficult to pick than a regular lock so it offers a little more protection from curious adolescence.The top opens quickly and provides easy access to the items you have stored inside. The light is not extremely bright, but bright enough to see inside in the dark what you are grabbing for. Easily holds a full size handgun and flashlight.

The Grimtron biometric gun safe is a great bedside safe. If you are looking for a bedside gun safe then this is it, I was able to set the 6-digit code and scan my finger quickly. The only thing I noticed is that you have to make sure when you put your code in is that it registers the button press. I had an issue with putting my code in and it is missing the first number. I had to push the first number twice to start. I have not set the time, date and other information yet. You can put a handgun and several clips in this little safe with ease. I haven’t had it long enough to see what battery life is. I will say it does have a quitter opening sound than my old one which is nice. Overall, for the price you get a lot of features and added protection and safety for your weapon storage needs.
