Safe has been nothing but trouble since I opened it on Christmas. Wireless charging pad doesn’t work when I plug my watch into usb-c port in the back the whole thing powers off and will not come back on until I unplug it. It was bought to combine my safe, alarm clock and phone charger on my nightstand, however, the clock is so bright I have to keep it turned off or me and my wife can’t sleep. Customer service chat has been no help and only replies once a day with no useful information. Just an absolute horrible experience overall. I wanted to give it a shot since they claim to have the best customer service but it is a joke. Plan to start the return process tomorrow.
Safe opened on its own today and now will not lock. Replaced batteries and safe will still not lock. I message customer service and am awaiting a reply. Loved the safe right up until it didn’t do the one job it is intended for. I’ll upload some videos of the safe not locking. Also had trouble setting it up in the beginning. Felt like it had another customers fingerprints and I couldn’t input mine. After I reset it, I was able to program my fingerprints. Seems to me that I probably got a refurbished return. Happy to update review if problem is solved, but currently displeased.
Pretty banged up, fingerprints everywhere, the gray coating on the steel casing is bubbling up everywhere. The bag was filthy. My first experience with another safe was great. I don't feel the quality is the same as first safe I bought and also that I was sent a used, dirty, repackaged, banged up safe is ridiculous. I paid for a NEW safe, not someone else's return.
I’m going to be honest, this is my first safe and I think it is perfect for me. I wanted to buy the Hornady safe which has similar options. I could not see myself spending $400 for a bedside. After so much searching and so freaking undecided. I came across the VT01, At first I was skeptical. With the lack of YouTube reviews, as my go to. Weeks deciding wether I should by it. I said F-it, so I bought it. I’m soooo, glad that I did. When I opened the box and saw the safe I was really happy with the look of it. Placed batteries in it and when I saw the digital display, oh man it just looks expensive for the fraction of the cost. My review is getting long winded, though I will leave you with this get the safe, you won’t be disappointed.. I really love the safe it was worth every penny. Will D.;)
I couldn’t be happier with this case. The display lights up when you touch it, then turns back off. The good: solid construction, cable included to lock it down, easy access to my firearm & kid-safe. The price is also very reasonable.
The not so good: the setup guide was completely wrong - I had to go to YouTube to set up the display timer & fingerprint setup. The fingerprint sensor works about 95% of the time the first time…it needs some engineering work.
Overall 5 stars despite of the ‘not so good’ stuff. Thank you for making this!
